Swatch Collection_Summer 2012

Since launching my blog in December I have not done an awful lot of posts on accessories - So where better to start than the Swatch watch.

Swiss watchmaker, Swatch, opened its doors back in 1983 with an idea to combine top-quality craftsmanship with affordable prices in an effort to fight against the rise of Japanese-made products.

Swatch has certainly made a comeback over these last few months with its offerings of fresh and dynamic innovations to compete against ever competitive wrist watch market of today. The latest range includes The 'New Gent Lacquered' Collection as well as the Summer '12 Sports Collection.

The  'New Gent Lacquered' range highlights a series of bold colours applied onto the reworked version of the brand’s most popular Gent model. A range of colour options of the watch comes as part of the series, with the special feature being the open multicolour internal spec movement. Each layer of the movement receives a different colour treatment to compliment each individual lacquered colour choice.

The latest Sports collection for the summer of 2012 aligns with its previous releases. The collection features one of the brand’s best selling models, the New Gent, with all-over patterns inspired by various action sports. The Swatch Sports collection will arrive shortly at select stockists around the globe as well as at the brand’s online store.
