Paris Fashion Week Highlights // Givenchy SS15

'I always come back to the dark side': Riccardo Tisci collides the severe with the romantic, sending out a team of cult models to stalk the runway for SS15. Bringing together two seemingly oppositional forces: severity and romanticism the collection was another street couture collection from the designer.

Following the season’s trend towards relaxed loungewear silhouettes and fluid fabrics there was lineup of streetwear meets military hardened hybrid designs crafted in graphic blacks and whites.

Leather thigh-high lace up boots were worn with pearl embellished floral print garments, and all of his models emerged onto the runway with their hair pushed back inside black hairnets. The monochrome military tailoring, crossed lines on shirts and bands of contrasting colour of bombers along with overloaded floral print teamed with short skirts, polo shirts and mesh tops, resulted in a masterful collection with a whole lot of attitude.
