H&M_F/W '12 Menswear Lookbook

It seems too soon to be posting about a F/W high street collection when we've barely even started getting our inspiration from the latest S/S collections...but there's just too much to love about the latest H&M F/W '12 collection for me to delay my post any longer.

The H&M F/W '12 menswear collection is anchored with an overall minimalist sleek feel, set off with perfect sharp tailoring. The range capitalises on the key F/W '12 trends bringing in a fusion of textures, with the incorporation of metallics, tweeds and rustic colour blocking into many of next season’s pieces. The collection also exemplifies the perfect way to layering when combining pieces together into one look - chequered shirt accented under a chunky knit worn under a tweed sports jacket, and finished off with a delicately woven tartan scarf.

There is a definite 60's influence this season with the slim lapelled two button suits in festive wine bottle green, midnight blue and fiery reds - along with more muted options. Stand out pieces in the collection which are now on my wishlist include the colour blocked burgundy/grey-blue polo neck jumper, festive metallic trousers as well as the Prada-esque green dress shirt.

The Swedish fast fashion powerhouse has really captured perfetly sophistication and style with their more daring latest collection, bringing together runway looks of this season but for the fraction of the price...definitely giving Zara a run for their money.

To add...it's also refreshing to see an Asian male model (Daisuke Ueda) in this lastest lookbook.
